Handling of Specific Personal Information

We will handle Individual Numbers and Specific Personal Information as follows.

1. Proper Collection of Individual Numbers and Specific Personal Information

We will collect Individual Numbers and Specific Personal Information in a lawful and fair manner. We will not request the provision of Individual Numbers and Specific Personal Information, unless it is required under laws and ordinances.

Individual Numbers and Specific Personal Information will be collected through such means as the completion of documents or the submission of documents that contain Individual Numbers or Specific Personal Information.

2.Handling, Scope of Use and Provision to Third Parties of Individual Numbers and Specific Personal Information

We will handle the Individual Numbers and Specific Personal Information we collect only to the extent permissible by laws and ordinances. The use of this information and its provision to third parties will be limited to the scope set forth as follows. We will not use the information nor provide it to third parties outside of the scope stipulated below.

    • [5]Administrative tasks involving Individual Numbers required by other laws and ordinances
  • (2)Individual Numbers and Specific Personal Information may be used in the following cases as required under laws and ordinances.
    • [1]When paying insurance claims and other obligations in catastrophic disasters and other such events
    • [2]When required to do so to protect a person’s life, body or property and either with the consent of the individual or in cases where it is difficult to obtain the consent of the individual

3. Matters Concerning Information Security Management Measures

We will make efforts to prevent leaks, loss, or damage of Individual Numbers and Specific Personal Information. To this end, we will also ensure adequate information security measures, such as maintenance of policies regarding usage as well as that of systems in place for secure management procedures.

4. Outsourcing the Handling of Individual Numbers and Specific Personal Information

We may outsource certain administrative tasks involving Individual Numbers to contractors. Whenever we outsource the handling of Individual Numbers and Specific Personal Information, we will exercise the necessary and appropriate oversight of contractors, such as checking in advance their information management systems after setting criteria for their selection.
